Birthday today, and I've never felt less excited in my life to turn a year older. 18 years was just beautiful: old enough to enjoy all the legal perks of adulthood, yet young enough to keep being able to afford stupidity. But life goes on.
Much of the special day was spent alone at home, alternating between cramming homework and worrying about going back to school. It was nice and quiet.
And now for some impromptu New Year's resolutions:
1. Try to be more friendly.
2. Blog more, even if nothing substantial. It's therapeutic, and great practice for writing in general.
3. Get a new, interesting hobby with which to kill lots of time.
